The entry phase of the competition opens at 12:00 am Melbourne time on 3 August 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm Melbourne time on 30 August 2026.

Entries published before the opening time or after the closing time may be deemed ineligible.

Snow Monkey Ramen may extend or amend the competition timetable where reasonably necessary. Any material changes will be announced through the Snow Monkey Ramen website or official Instagram account.

Entry is open to individuals who are based in Melbourne, Victoria and are able to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

Entrants under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Snow Monkey Ramen may request evidence of that permission before confirming an entrant as a finalist or winner.

Employees, contractors and immediate family members of people directly involved in administering or judging the competition are not eligible to enter.

To submit a valid entry during the entry period, an eligible entrant must:

1. Create an original artwork inspired by Snow Monkey Ramen and the new Collingwood location.
2. Publish the artwork as a post on a public Instagram account.
3. Tag @snowmonkeyramen in the competition post.
4. Include all three official competition hashtags in the caption: #snowmonkeyramendesigncompetition, #snowmonkeyramencollingwood and #snowmonkeyramen.

The Instagram account and competition post must remain publicly viewable until the winner has been announced.

Entrants may submit more than one artwork, provided each entry is original, published separately and satisfies all competition requirements.

Substantially identical versions of the same design may be treated as a single entry.

Each entry must:

• Be the entrant’s original work.
• Be suitable for display within a public hospitality venue.
• Be capable of being adapted for large-format production.
• Not infringe any copyright, trademark, moral right, privacy right or other third-party right.
• Not contain unlawful, discriminatory, threatening, defamatory, explicit or otherwise inappropriate content.
• Not include third-party logos, characters, photographs, stock assets or other protected material unless the entrant holds all required permissions.

Snow Monkey Ramen may reject an entry that it reasonably considers unsuitable, incomplete, offensive, unlawful or inconsistent with the competition.

Entrants must disclose whether generative artificial intelligence tools were used to create any part of their submitted artwork.

Snow Monkey Ramen may request sketches, drafts, source files, working files or other evidence demonstrating the entrant’s creative process and rights to the artwork.

An entry may be disqualified if the entrant cannot demonstrate authorship or cannot provide the rights required for display, production, installation and promotion.

After the entry phase closes, Snow Monkey Ramen will review eligible submissions and select up to 10 finalist designs.

The shortlist may be based on:

• Originality and creativity.
• Visual impact.
• Relevance to Snow Monkey Ramen.
• Connection to Collingwood and the competition concept.
• Suitability for large-format production and installation.
• Compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

Shortlisting is a qualitative decision made by Snow Monkey Ramen. Fewer than 10 finalists may be selected if there are not enough eligible submissions meeting the required standard.

A shortlisted entrant may be required to provide:

• Proof of identity, age and Melbourne residency.
• A high-resolution version of the artwork.
• Editable source or production files.
• An artist biography and short artwork statement.
• Evidence of ownership or permission for any incorporated third-party material.

A finalist who does not provide requested information within the nominated timeframe may be replaced by another eligible entrant.

The Top 10 finalist artworks will be displayed on the official Snow Monkey Ramen website during the public-voting phase.

Finalist designs may also be published through @snowmonkeyramen and other Snow Monkey Ramen promotional channels.

Snow Monkey Ramen may resize, crop or format finalist artwork where reasonably necessary for consistent website and social media presentation.

Public voting opens on 01 September 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm Melbourne time on 14 September 2026.

Voting will take place through the official Snow Monkey Ramen website or another voting method clearly nominated by Snow Monkey Ramen.

Subject to eligibility verification, the finalist receiving the highest number of valid public votes will be declared the winner.

Snow Monkey Ramen may exclude duplicate, automated, fraudulent, paid, manipulated or otherwise invalid votes.

Entrants and supporters must not use bots, scripts, false accounts, vote exchanges, paid voting services or unauthorised incentives to influence the result.

If two or more finalists receive the same highest number of valid public votes, Snow Monkey Ramen will select the winner from the tied finalists.

The tie-break decision will be based on originality, visual impact, relevance to Snow Monkey Ramen, connection to Collingwood and suitability for installation.

The provisional winner will be contacted through Instagram or through contact information supplied during finalist verification after the public-voting phase closes.

The provisional winner must respond within five business days and provide any information reasonably required to verify eligibility and arrange artwork production.

The confirmed winner will receive:

• A $1,000 cash prize.
• The opportunity for the winning artwork to be featured in connection with Snow Monkey Ramen Collingwood.
• Promotion through selected Snow Monkey Ramen website and social media channels.

The $1,000 cash prize will be formally presented to the confirmed winner at the Snow Monkey Ramen Collingwood store on a date arranged by Snow Monkey Ramen. The winner may be required to attend the presentation and participate in reasonable photography, filming and promotional content.

The prize payment may be provided by electronic funds transfer to an Australian bank account nominated by the winner.

If the provisional winner is ineligible, cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required period or cannot provide appropriate production files, Snow Monkey Ramen may select another eligible finalist.

Snow Monkey Ramen will determine the final production method, dimensions, placement, materials and installation process for the winning artwork.

The winner agrees to cooperate reasonably with Snow Monkey Ramen and its designers, printers, fabricators and contractors to prepare the artwork for production.

Reasonable modifications may be required for scale, dimensions, colour reproduction, printing, safety, construction, building conditions or brand application.

Snow Monkey Ramen will use reasonable efforts to consult the winner before making substantial creative changes.

Display within the Collingwood location is subject to construction, operational, lease and venue requirements. Snow Monkey Ramen does not guarantee permanent display or a minimum display period.

Entrants retain copyright ownership in their original artwork, subject to the permissions granted under these Terms and Conditions.

By entering, each entrant grants Snow Monkey Ramen a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce, resize, crop, format, publish and display the entry for:

• Competition administration and shortlisting.
• Announcing and showcasing entries and finalists.
• Public voting.
• Competition promotion through websites, social media, email, public relations and in-store materials.

The winner agrees to grant Snow Monkey Ramen the additional rights reasonably required to adapt, reproduce, manufacture, install, photograph, film, display and promote the winning artwork in connection with Snow Monkey Ramen Collingwood.

Detailed production and artwork-usage arrangements may be documented in a separate written agreement before production begins.

Snow Monkey Ramen intends to provide reasonable artist credit when publishing finalist and winning artwork where practical.

Finalists and the winner consent to Snow Monkey Ramen publishing their name, Instagram handle, artist biography, artist statement and submitted artwork in connection with the competition.

Finalists and the winner may be invited to participate in reasonable interviews, photography, filming, announcements or launch-related promotional activities.

Snow Monkey Ramen may collect personal information that is reasonably required to administer the competition, verify eligibility, contact finalists, conduct voting, award the prize and arrange artwork production.

Information may be disclosed to service providers assisting with website hosting, voting, marketing, printing, fabrication, installation, professional advice and competition administration.

Entrant information will not automatically be added to a marketing mailing list unless the entrant separately agrees to receive marketing communications.

Snow Monkey Ramen may disqualify an entrant or entry where it reasonably believes that:

• The entrant does not meet the eligibility requirements.
• The entry is copied, misleading or not original.
• The entry infringes another person’s rights.
• The entrant supplied false or incomplete information.
• The entrant manipulated or attempted to manipulate public voting.
• The entrant engaged in unlawful, threatening, abusive, dishonest or inappropriate behaviour.
• The entry or entrant otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions.

Snow Monkey Ramen may reasonably modify, suspend, postpone or cancel the competition if circumstances outside its control prevent the competition from operating as intended.

This may include technical failures, fraudulent voting, website outages, cyber incidents, platform restrictions, construction delays, venue changes, supplier issues or other unexpected circumstances.

Snow Monkey Ramen will take reasonable steps to announce any material changes and minimise unfairness to entrants.

To the extent permitted by law, Snow Monkey Ramen is not responsible for entries or votes that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted or unavailable because of Instagram, website, internet, device or technical failure.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

This competition is administered by Snow Monkey Ramen and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.

Entrants must continue to comply with Instagram’s applicable platform terms and rules.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and courts entitled to hear appeals from them.

Snow Monkey Ramen’s decision regarding the interpretation and application of these Terms and Conditions, entry eligibility, voting validity and competition results is final.
